Developing A Daily Practice

Okay, so here’s the gist of it. We live in a fast paced society with an overarching theme of “do more is better” running in the background. The truth is WE NEED STILLNESS. Stillness makes space for clarity, creativity, and opens the window of inspiration. A little over a decade ago I read a book by Eckhart Tolle called “The Power of Now” and I realized I was pretty desperate to develop practices that would lead me towards peace. I began simply with sitting meditation, focusing on my breath, and being witness to my thoughts. Through out the last 12 years this morning practice has become longer, and includes daily reading, along with whatever else my intuition guides me to. It is my anchoring place. No matter where I am, or what is happening in life the first thing I do everyday (after I start the kettle) is sit, rest, and reside, just for a little while in stillness. Try this out for your self, see if it helps, and if you have any questions about developing a daily practice totally reach out.
